Anthelmintic Tablets for Cats and Dogs, 6 Tablets Azinoks

Azinoks is an anthelmintic veterinary medicine for cats and dogs. Its active ingredient, praziquantel, acts against tapeworms (cestodes) at different stages of development, causing paralysis and death of the parasites and helping their elimination from the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications
Used for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by tapeworms, including dipylidiosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidiasis, taeniasis and echinococcosis.

Composition
Each tablet contains:

• Praziquantel — 50 mg.
• Excipients: lactose, potato starch and a fresh-meat-flavoured additive.

Administration and dosage
Administer orally as a single dose, individually, with a small amount of food or a treat during feeding, or place the tablet at the base of the tongue.

According to the supplied instructions, the dosage is 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight, equivalent to 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight.

For cats and dogs weighing less than 5 kg, the instructions specify preparing an aqueous suspension: crush ½ tablet, suspend it in 5 ml of water, shake vigorously and administer immediately using a needle-free syringe at a rate of 1 ml of suspension per kg of body weight.

For treatment, use according to the indication; for prevention, administer quarterly at the therapeutic dose.

Contraindications and precautions

• Individual hypersensitivity to the ingredients.
• Severe liver or kidney dysfunction.
• Do not use in debilitated animals or animals suffering from infectious diseases.
• Do not use in puppies or kittens younger than 3 weeks.
• If deworming pregnant or nursing females is necessary, it should be performed under veterinary supervision.
• Do not use simultaneously with piperazine-containing medicines or cholinesterase inhibitors.

Possible adverse effects
Adverse effects are generally not observed when the medicine is used according to the instructions. If an allergic reaction or signs of individual intolerance occur, consult a veterinarian.

Storage conditions
Store in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between 2°C and 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture. After opening the package: 3 months.
