💊 Flexoprofen 5% is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory veterinary medicine (NSAID) supplied as an injectable solution. Its active ingredient is ketoprofen.
🔬 Composition
Each 1 ml contains:
Ketoprofen — 50 mg.
Excipients: L-arginine, benzyl alcohol, citric acid and water for injection.
⚕️ Pharmacological Properties
Ketoprofen provides:

🌡️ Antipyretic effects.
It is effective in treating acute, subacute and chronic inflammatory conditions accompanied by pain. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis by interfering with arachidonic acid metabolism.
💉 Following intramuscular administration, the maximum plasma concentration of ketoprofen is reached in approximately 30 minutes. Bioavailability ranges from 85% to 100%, depending on the animal species. Ketoprofen is eliminated primarily through the kidneys.
🐾 Indications
The product is used for:
Inflammatory disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including arthritis, osteoarthritis, dislocations, swelling, intervertebral disc herniation, synovitis and tenosynovitis.
Pain of various origins, including traumatic and postoperative pain and colic.
Fever.
Intended for dogs, cats, sport horses and calves.
💉 Administration and Dosage
Dogs and cats: subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous administration at 2 mg/kg body weight (based on ketoprofen), once daily for 1–5 days.
Sport horses: intravenous administration at 2.2 mg/kg, once daily for 1–5 days.
Calves: intravenous or intramuscular administration at 3 mg/kg, once daily for 1–5 days.
⚠️ Contraindications
Do not use in cases of:
Allergic reactions to ketoprofen or other product ingredients.
Gastric or duodenal ulcers.
Haemorrhagic syndrome.
Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.
Pregnancy.
⚠️ Special Precautions
Do not use in combination with other NSAIDs, glucocorticoids, anticoagulants or diuretics.
Do not mix with other medicines in the same syringe.
Discontinue use if allergic reactions occur.
Calves may be slaughtered for meat no earlier than 5 days after the last administration.
📦 Storage Conditions
Store in the manufacturer's closed packaging, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children. Keep separate from food and animal feed at temperatures between 0°C and 25°C.
