Broad antibacterial spectrum, including mycoplasmas
Long-acting (prolonged) effect
Reduces labor and treatment efforts
Selective NSAID does not harm the gastrointestinal tract
📋 Mechanism of action: Florfenicol, a thiamphenicol derivative with a fluorine atom replacing the hydroxyl group, is a bacteriostatic antibiotic. It binds to ribosomal subunits of sensitive bacteria, blocking peptidyl transfer and thus preventing protein synthesis and bacterial growth.
