Folain NEO Antiparasitic Spray for Dogs and Cats, 100 ml

Folain NEO is a combined veterinary antiparasitic preparation with contact and systemic action, intended for dogs and cats.

It is effective against larval and adult stages of lice, fleas, biting lice, sarcoptic mites, and ixodid ticks, as well as larvae of nematodes of the genus Dirofilaria.

Indications

• Treatment and prevention of infestations caused by fleas, lice, and biting lice.
• Protection against ixodid ticks.
• Treatment of notoedric mange and sarcoptic mange.
• Prevention of dirofilariasis.

Directions for Use

1. Shake the bottle before use.
2. Spray against the direction of hair growth from a distance of 20–25 cm, covering the body, neck, limbs, abdomen, and tail.
3. For long-haired animals, lift the coat by hand to ensure coverage.
4. Apply around the eyes and nose using a swab moistened with the spray.
5. Protect the animal's eyes from direct contact with the spray.

Dosage: 3–6 ml per kg of body weight, depending on the condition of the coat. This corresponds to 5–10 presses of the spray nozzle.

To remove ixodid ticks, apply the product directly to the tick and its attachment site. If the tick does not detach within 20–30 minutes, carefully remove it with tweezers.

For notoedric mange and sarcoptic mange, apply the product to affected areas that have been cleaned of crusts, extending up to 1 cm onto the surrounding healthy skin. Repeat 2–4 times at intervals of 7–10 days until clinical recovery, under veterinary supervision.

For extensive affected areas, treatment is carried out in two stages one day apart, treating one half of the body first and the other half the following day.

Preventive treatment schedule:

• For insect infestations — once every three months.
• Against ixodid ticks and mosquitoes during their active season — every 3–4 weeks.

Contraindications and Precautions

• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the product's ingredients.
• Do not use in Collies, Bobtails, or Shelties due to their pronounced sensitivity to avermectins.
• Puppies and kittens under 7 weeks of age, debilitated or elderly animals, and pregnant or lactating females should be treated only under veterinary supervision.
• Do not apply to wet or damaged skin.
• Prevent the animal from licking the product and prevent treated animals from licking one another.
• Keep the animal away from open flames and heating appliances until the coat is completely dry.
• Do not wash the animal or allow it to swim in open water for 48 hours after treatment.

Application Conditions

Apply outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames. Remove bird cages from the room and cover fish aquariums before treatment.
