Mikozin is used in cattle to treat respiratory diseases, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, streptococcosis, necrobacteriosis and other infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to tilmicosin 🐄
Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic of the macrolide group with a broad antibacterial spectrum. It is active against Gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., etc.) and Gram-negative microorganisms (Pasteurella multocida, Clostridium spp., etc.), actinomycetes (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae) and mycoplasmas.
The mechanism of action is based on inhibition of protein synthesis at the ribosomal level. The drug acts bacteriostatically.
