Solar Wax Melter for Beekeeping with Lid VSK-1

The VSK-1 Solar Wax Melter is designed for melting beeswax and processing wax-containing material using heat from sunlight. Sunlight directly heats the material, while reflections from the internal walls help increase the temperature. Under favourable conditions, the temperature inside the unit can reach up to 100°C.

The melted wax flows down the inclined tray into a collection container. A metal mesh at the end of the tray helps prevent unmelted residue from entering the collection container.

Usage Recommendations
Place the wax melter in a sunny location and angle it towards the sun at approximately 36°. If its position cannot be adjusted throughout the day, orienting it towards the south is recommended. During sunny summer days, this orientation typically allows the unit to reach its highest temperature at around 1:00–2:00 p.m.
