Insectoacaricidal Spray for Animals, 30 ml Ivermek

Ivermek Spray is a veterinary insectoacaricidal product for external use. It is intended to treat certain mite infestations in animals and ornamental birds. Additional ingredients help reduce discomfort and support the care of affected skin.

Indications

• Treatment of sarcoptic mange, otodectosis, notoedric mange, psoroptic mange and demodicosis in dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals and ornamental rodents.
• Treatment of knemidocoptosis in ornamental birds.

Composition per 1 ml

• Ivermectin — 2.5 mg.
• Lidocaine hydrochloride — 20 mg.
• Chlorhexidine bigluconate — 0.5 mg.
• Dexpanthenol — 5 mg.
• Excipients: Cremophor RH 410 and purified water.

Pharmacological action
Ivermectin acts on the nervous and muscular systems of parasites, causing paralysis and death. Chlorhexidine provides antimicrobial activity, lidocaine helps relieve pain, and dexpanthenol supports skin recovery.

Directions for use and dosage
Before treatment, clean the affected areas of scabs and crusts. Spray from a distance of 10–20 cm while holding the bottle upright. Cover the affected areas, including a 1–2 cm margin of surrounding healthy skin. Treat the areas around the eyes and nose using gloved fingertips to gently rub the product into the skin.

Maximum dose: 0.2 ml per kg of body weight. One press of the spray nozzle delivers 0.125 ml.

Contraindications and precautions

• Individual hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
• Do not use in animals younger than 12 weeks, animals with infectious diseases, or animals recovering from illness.
• Do not apply into the ear if the eardrum is perforated.
• Use with caution in Collies, Bobtails and Shelties because of their breed-related sensitivity to avermectins.
• Use in pregnant or lactating females only under veterinary supervision after assessing potential risks. If treatment of a nursing female is necessary, nursing puppies or kittens should be prevented from feeding on the mother's milk, according to the instructions.

Safety precautions
Treat animals outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Remove ornamental bird cages and cover fish aquariums beforehand. Prevent the animal from licking the product until the skin and coat are completely dry.

Storage conditions
Store in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separately from food and feed, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between 0°C and 25°C.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
