Penstrep® 400 – Injectable Antibiotic, 50 ml

📌 Key Details

• Composition (per 1 ml): Benzylpenicillin G – 200,000 IU; Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate – 200 mg 

• Form: Injectable suspension, 50 ml vial (also in 100 ml)

• Indications: Respiratory, digestive and urinary tract infections; mastitis; arthritis; wound infections in cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, horses 

• Dosage: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight IM every 72 h (can be repeated every 48 h), course for 3 days 

• Contraindications: hypersensitivity to penicillins/aminoglycosides, severe renal impairment, pregnancy in large animals — veterinary advice required 

• Side Effects: injection site reactions, fever, behavioral changes; risk of ototoxicity/nephrotoxicity with overdosing

• Withdrawal Periods: meat – 30 days; kidney – 45 days; milk – 5 days 

• Storage: store 2–25 °C in dark; after opening, refrigerate (2–8 °C), use within 14 days
